MB-MT50N – High Thermal Performance Mullion-Transom Curtain Wall System

The MB-MT50N system is designed for the construction of lightweight curtain walls, including both suspended and infill façades, as well as glazed roofs, skylights, and other spatial structures. Developed in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle® principles, it meets the requirements of sustainable construction and supports the circular economy concept.

✔ Visible mullion and transom width: 50 mm.

✔ Available in two thermal insulation versions:

• Standard version – ABS/TPE thermal insulators;

• SI version – PET/PE thermal insulators for enhanced thermal performance.

✔ Profile thermal transmittance:

• Uf from 0.55 W/(m²K);

• The MB-MT50N SI version is certified Class A+ by the Passive House Institute Darmstadt.

✔ Profile range:

• Mullions: 20–250 mm;

• Transoms (Series 1): 20–254.5 mm;

• Transoms (Series 2): 84.5–174.5 mm.

✔ Compatible with glazing units from 20 to 64 mm thick.

Functionality

✔ Supports the integration of windows and doors based on ALUPROF systems, including:

• Tilt-and-turn windows;

• Tilt-and-slide windows;

• Lift-and-slide systems;

• Roof and façade windows.

✔ The mullion-to-transom connector features an optimised design, allowing screw-fixed installation without additional drilling operations.

✔ The system incorporates a three-stage drainage system to ensure efficient water evacuation from all joint types.

✔ The new bi-component thermal insulators provide:

• More secure screw fastening;

• Easier fabrication and installation;

• Improved protection against damage during transport.
